FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, you and your guest must be 21+ to attend the event. Additionally, each person attending the event needs his/her own ticket purchased from EventBrite. Each graduate or professional student may purchase one ticket for one non-Pitt guest. Photocopies of IDs will not be accepted.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Rivers Casino offers free self parking for all guests. There are 5,000 parking spaces at your disposal. For map and directions, please visit here: https://www.riverscasino.com/pittsburgh/visit2/directions.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring your Eventbrite tickets, either on your phone or through paper tickets. Each guest must have their ticket prior to entering the party. Additionally, each guest must bring their 21+ proof of identification and their Pitt ID.
Acceptable forms of 21+ ID in the state of Pennsylvania include a USA-issued state ID or a passport. Many locations will not accept foreign-issued national IDs. For additional details on IDs, visit http://www.lcbapps.lcb.state.pa.us/webapp/edu/RAMP/Faqs2.asp?idnum=81#C1.
NO ID, NO ENTRY - AND PRINTED COPIES OF YOUR PASSPORT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please direct questions to events.gpsg@pitt.edu. Please note, questions sent on the day of the event may not be answered in time because we will be busy preparing for the event.
What's the refund policy?
You may seek a refund up to 7 days prior to the event. Unfortunately, we need a head count for catering, and cannot honor refunds after the cutoff time. You can request a refund through EventBrite or by emailing events.gpspg@pitt.edu with your order number and the refund you request.
I can no longer attend, but I know someone who wants my ticket, can I transfer it to him/her? No, GPSG tickets are not transferrable. GPSG does not allow students to transfer tickets to other students because many of our events have wait lists of students who are in line to receive tickets as they become available. In order to honor this wait list, if you no longer want or need your ticket, you may request a refund (no less than 48 hours prior to the event start time) and your ticket will be given to a student on the wait list.
Can I update my registration information? I used the wrong email (all emails should be PITT emails).
Yes, Eventbrite allows you to update your registration information. Please follow these instructions: https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articles/en_US/How_To/how-to-update-your-ticket-registration-information?lg=en_US
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
No. It's not ok.
I have other questions, what should I do? If you have additional questions, please contact events.gpsg@pitt.edu as soon as possible. Any email sent within two hours of an event start time may not be answered due to the Event Planning Committee (EPC) and the VP of Programming's need to facilitate events.
